Far-field accuracy investigation using modulated scattering technique for fast near-field measurements
Abstract
The present paper is concerned with the numerical simulation results of the effect of the mutual coupling of a linear array of dipoles, taking into account also the limitation of the dynamic range of the measurements on the far field of a paraboloidal reflector antenna. Attention is given to the computer program FACSIM for simulating the exact near field of an antenna, the effect of mutual coupling, the results of the mutual coupling, and the influence of the measurement dynamic range. Results regarding the exact and perturbed cross-polar pattern, and the exact near-field component are presented in graphs.
