On the k-epsilon model of turbulence
Abstract
Starting with the basic conservation laws for the mean turbulent motions and following the conventional methods of continuum thermodynamics, the fundamental equations of the k-epsilon model are rederived. Thus, it is shown that the k-epsilon model of turbulence is consistent with the rational continuum mechanics.
