Determination of lunar-chord direction using synchronous photography of the lunar surface and stars
Abstract
The paper examines the problem of determining lunar-chord direction on the basis of synchronous photogrpahy of the lunar surface and the starry sky by means of two rigidly coupled cameras. Model results are presented, and it is shown that, under favorable conditions, the accuracy of this technique is 30-90 arcsec.
