Target decomposition theorems in radar scattering
Abstract
By converting the coherent scattering matrix into a target vector, the concept of a coherency matrix may be introduced for characterizing statistical scattering problems involving polarized waves. This technique is compared with the more conventional Mueller matrix formalism and a unique decomposition theorem developed for modelling dynamic scattering problems.
