Method for the numerical solution of problems of electromagnetic-wave diffraction by surfaces with anisotropic conductivity
Abstract
A general method is developed for the numerical analysis of electromagnetic-wave diffraction problems for a class of anisotropic objects in the form of smooth surfaces of arbitrary configuration with anisotropic conductivity of the following type: at each point of the surface there is a direction in which the surface has ideal conductivity (sigma = infinity), while it is nonconducting (sigma = 0) in all other directions. As an example, the amplitude distribution of the secondary electric field is calculated for the diffraction of a plane wave by an anisotropically conducting cutout from a paraboloid of revolution.
