Restricted circular four-body problem
Abstract
The following four-body problem is examined in the framework of the Hill approximation: the motion of a passively gravitating material point in the Newtonian field of three other material points with finite masses, rotating about a common axis of inertia along Keplerian circular orbits. The exact particular solutions (libration points) are found, and their stability in the first approximation is investigated. An example of the problem studied is the motion of an artificial satellite of the moon, with allowance for perturbations from the sun and earth.
