A study of the ring-bending and ring-twisting motions in maleic anhydride by rotational analysis of the corresponding vibrational satellites
Abstract
The rotational analysis of the ground and of several vibrational excited states of the ring-bending and the ring-twisting motions were carried out for maleic anhydride up to J = 40. The vibrational energies as determined from relative intensity measurements agree with the values previously obtained by vibrational analysis and normal coordinate treatments.
