Sequential data processing for photogrammetric acquisition of digital elevation models
Abstract
A system for real-time monitoring of contours during photogrammetric data acquisition is described. Sequential algorithms corresponding to different interpolation methods are analyzed. The output of the system consists of the displayed contours, the edited observations and the elevations at the grid nodes. The edited observations can be used as input to another system which is better for the present application. In such cases, the interactive system described acts as an on-line graphical editor of the measured elevations. In other cases the elevations at the grid nodes can be used, for example when generating contour maps.
