Asymptotic methods in the theory of kinetic equations
Abstract
Asymptotic (with respect to time) solutions to the homogeneous Fokker-Planck equation and systems of linear kinetic equations based on the methods of quasi-stationary distribution functions and Green functions are examined. An exact solution is obtained for systems of kinetic equations. The methods described here are used to investigate the statistics of laser radiation and its dynamic characteristics and also the development of nonequilibrium distributions in vibrational kinetics.
