Navigation by satellite timing and ranging: Global Positioning System (GPS) NAVSTAR
Abstract
The NAVSTAR satellite positioning system is described. The control, user, and space vehicle segments are outlined. Signal processing; signal decoding; the data blocks of the navigation message; the positioning equations; position accuracy; velocity measurement; the navigation filter; and high accuracy applications of the system are discussed.
