Preliminary survey of wind generation in Washington: Site studies and selected wind speed data
Abstract
Data are provided for 44 wind energy systems in six regions of the state of Washington. The data include the system's location, type of system and manufacturer, data of installation and installer, performance and operational data, dimensions, cost, factors influencing performance, and the users' response. Conclusions are drawn regarding resource evaluation, wind turbine technology, environmental and safety considerations, institutional issues, and social considerations. Additional data are given for three wind speed measurement projects.
