Influence of strut cross-section on strut radiation of reflector antennas
Abstract
The sidelobe level of rotationally symmetric paraboloid antennas is studied. The influence of the strut cross-section on the scattering behavior was investigated. Results indicate that struts of circular and elliptical cross-section produce only a small scattered field in the backward region while lattice-type struts cause high-level sidelobes.
