Calculation of currents induced in a network of overhead power lines by an electromagnetic impulse
Abstract
Currents induced by an electromagnetic pulse in overhead power lines are calculated by a method that combines the method of moments, analytical formulations, and transmission line theory. It reduces computer memory and time needed compared with the method of moments, while retaining numerical accuracy. It can treat structures of any dimension over a wide spectrum.
