Comprehensive radio direction finder with electronically stabilized radiation pattern
Abstract
The Markov theory of optimal nonlinear filtering in the first-order Gaussian approximation is used to synthesize, in analog and digital versions, a quasi-optimal complex onboard radio direction finder with electronic stabilization of the antenna-array directivity diagram. It is shown that the application of the proposed processing algorithm is most suitable for direction finders with arrays having a narrow diagram, since in many cases it is impossible to implement the tracking mode without additional information about the angular position of the flight vehicle.
