Selection of optimum corrections torque for vertical gyro according to special-purpose program
Abstract
Three models of correction are considered for a vertical gyro. Optimization of the correcting torque in each mode involves linearization of the problem and then finding the slope of the torque-angle characteristic which will yield the minimum mean-square error. The algorithm and calculations were programmed in FORTRAN.
