Line-column phase control of an equiamplitude square antenna array with optical excitation
Abstract
Various algorithms for the line-column phase control of a planar antenna are examined which make it possible to approximate with various degrees of accuracy the spherical wave front. The problem is that of approximating the phase advance of a spherical wave by the sum of two functions each of which depends on one Cartesian coordinate. Approximate solutions are obtained for a continuous aperture and an antenna array, and the domain of applicability of these solutions is assessed numerically. The least squares method is used.
