Characteristics of radar objects in the case when ultrawideband signals are used
Abstract
A classification of radar signals in terms of bandwidth is presented, and differences between ultrawideband (UWB) signals and narrow-band signals with high resolution are indicated. UWB signal models are examined, and the possibility of determining the impulse response of objects of complex shape is discussed. The use of UWB signals is considered as an alternative to radio-holographic methods.
