The very long baseline interferometry. Part VI. Methods of spectral line VLBI.
Abstract
This part deals with the final analysis of spectral line VLBI data obtained after correlation and postprocessing. Theoretical background for the analysis of differential observables is given. Principles of the fringe rate mapping, multiple-point fringe rate mapping, phase modeling, aperture synthesis and maser cluster distance determination are discussed. A generalized projection theorem is proved, which relates one-dimensional nonradial Fourier transforms taken on the spatial frequencies plane to these taken on the sky plane.
