Resonator optimization for passively mode-locked lasers
Abstract
The role of the resonator parameters, in stabilizing the output of passively mode-locked lasers is analyzed. Analytic expressions are derived for the range of optimal values for the radii of curvature of the resonator mirrors, and the position of the major elements, for the most commonly used configurations. The predictions are verified by experiment, for a specific case.
