RamanNath equation and Schroedingerlike equation with a Mathieu potential
Abstract
A firstorder perturbed solution of a Schroedingerlike equation with a Mathieu potential is obtained by applying the analytical procedure of Bosco and Dattoli (1983) to the corresponding RamanNath equation (derived using an approximation). The results are applicable to systems in which the value of the constant mu is small relative to the values of alpha and Omega, including such problems as freeelectron lasers, light diffraction by ultrasonic waves, and the dynamics of multilevel systems interacting with EM radiation.
