Application of fiber optics and compound collectors to photometry.
Abstract
Conventional photometric equipment typically contains an assortment of optical components: lenses, mirrors, and filters. Over the past fifteen years a number of new optical components have become available but have not found widespread use as components in stellar photometers. This paper considers two such components: fiber optics and compound collectors, and provides suggestions for their use in photometric hardware.
