The battle against fadings in the transmission of analog signals
Abstract
The use of the diversity reception of FM signals, wideband composite signals, and adaptive feedback systems to reduce fadings in analog radio-communication systems is examined. Particular emphasis is placed on systems developed in the USSR and to engineering methods for the calculation of statistical characteristics. The effect of antifading systems on signal distortions in multipath channels is examined.
