Nonisothermal transport processes in a one-component gas
Abstract
Methods of irreversible process thermodynamics are used to obtain an expression for mass and energy flows in a one-component gas for the case where the system volume varies. The coefficients characterizing nonisothermal diffusion in a one-component gas are estimated. The relations proposed provide a way to calculate the effective heat conductivities of gases over a wide temperature range from experimental data obtained by various methods.
