Methods of experimental investigation of heat and mass transfer processes
Abstract
Selected experimental methods and typical diagnostic techniques developed and used in investigations of heat and mass transfer processes at the Heat and Mass Transfer Institute of the Belorussian SSR Academy of Sciences, are presented. Uses of interferometric and holographic methods in studying thermal processes are described, including discussions of the methodology, the apparatus, and the type of findings. Special attention is paid to the techniques used in diagnostics of thermal processes and in diagnostics of the heat and mass processes in turbulent flows. In addition, the methods used in measurements of rapidly-varying pressures are considered, and the computer-aided experimental data processing systems are described.
