Inertial and shear flows
Abstract
A study is made of simple fluid flows with rectilinear uniform motion of particles, such as flows of geophysical liquids. The properties of inertial flows are briefly discussed, and several examples are examined. A class of viscous fluid flows is identified where the flow is dependent on ten arbitrary constants.
