Model of a spectrum of star-image motion in the 0.01-10 HZ range
Abstract
A line-spectrum model is developed on the basis of observations of near-equatorial stars with the vertical circle of the Main Astronomical Observatory of the Ukrainian Academy of Sciences. This simple statistical model is used to derive relationships which make it possible to determine the variance of star motion and to quantitatively describe the observed properties of autocorrelation functions for visual and photographic methods of observation.
