System for recording, processing and interpreting vertical seismic profiles
Abstract
Data quality of vertical seismic profiles (VSP) recordings is dealt with. Source signature deconvolution, source signal amplitude compensation, automatic orientation of the horizontal components within three component records, VSP deconvolution, signal separation of different seismic waves, static and dynamic travel time corrections, analyses of travel times and amplitudes, evaluation of the reflector dip, processing of records with constant receiver position and a series of source positions were studied. Testing with synthetic and real measuring results proved the practicability and the efficiency of the processing method.
