Broadband monolithic microwave circuits for military applications
Abstract
Attention is given to the fabrication and performance characteristics of broadband microwave circuits, employing GaAs ICs, which may be of especially advantageous use in military applications. The state-of-the-art in GaAs monolithic microwave integrated circuits is demonstrated by a multichip E/F-band transceiver consisting of a low noise preamplifier for reception, a phase shifter for transmission, a driver and power amplifier, and power switches. Broadband multifunction circuits are discussed in light of anticipated future requirements.
