Why do the Simple Stars Exist
Abstract
The author explains single stars as the evolutionary product of double stars and not as the consequence of direct formation in an interstellar cloud. Tidal coupling combined with intense magnetic fields and strong stellar winds is the necessary and sufficient condition for binaries to become single stars.
