On the solution of certain nonlinear evolution equations with degeneracy at the boundary
Abstract
For equations with degeneracy of nonstationary-filtration type, a transition to new independent variables and to a new unknown function is proposed which removes degeneracy in the higher term. A difference scheme is proposed for solving the problem of turbulence propagation in a region occupied by a homogeneous fluid. Numerical results are discussed, indicating a self-similar solution.
