Study of a limited band signal transmission chain
Abstract
The techniques which can be used to reduce the spectral occupancy of QPSK signals in space downlinks are described, including prefiltering of QPSK, SQPSK and pulse shaping techniques. Computer simulation results are used to compare the performances of these techniques in spectral occupancy and bit-error rate degradation. The positive results of the prefiltered SQPSK technique are pointed out.
