The probabilistic analysis on the influence of roughness to depth and velocity in open channels
Abstract
The random variation of depth and velocity in two dimensional uniform flow, given the stochastic characteristics of roughness in open channels is studied. The probabilities, mathematical expectations, variances of depth and velocity, and the correlations between roughness, depth and velocity are discussed.
