Ferritevaractor microwave circuits
Abstract
A method is proposed for calculating the parameters of a ferritevaractor cell consisting of a ferrite resonator and a wire coil connected to a varactor. First, the resonance frequency of a system consisting of a ferrite resonator and a shortcircuited coil whose diameter is equal to that of the coil connected to a varactor is determined experimentally. Then, the resonance frequency and the Qfactor of the ferritevaractor cell are determined by solving a system of equations. An analysis of ferritevaractor circuits is carried out by the well known methods of circuit theory using the impedance characteristics of the ferrite resonator and of the varactor.
