Autocorrelation receiver for short-range Doppler radar systems
Abstract
Theoretical and experimental results are presented concerning a Doppler-frequency autocorrelation meter whose correlation time is achieved by the proper choice of operation levels of two shaping devices. It is shown that the signal/noise ratio at the output of the meter amounts to 2.5-3 for a probability of false operations of 0.01. It is concluded that this type of autocorrelator makes it possible to exclude incorrect Doppler-frequency measurements and to increase the maximum operating range of the short-range radar.
