Results of the simulation of an adaptive nonparametric linear classifier of polarization-shift-keyed signals
Abstract
A suboptimal procedure for the adaptive nonparametric linear classification of polarization-shift-keyed signals is described which is shown to possess sufficiently fast convergence and good asymptotic properties in various situations. Simulation results show the feasibility of using this classifier in microwave communication channels characterized by a high degree of polarization of the signals at the channel output and significant intervals of the stationarity of elements of the stochastic polarizational transmission matrix of the separation medium. The proposed algorithm should be suitable for binary communication channels with an erroneous-reception probability for elements of random sequences of 0.001-0.0001.
