Optimization of the position of the dynamic range of a radar receiver relative to the mean power of reflected-signal fluctuations
Abstract
A generalization is presented of the choice of the position of the dynamic range of a radar receiver for m-distributed fluctuations of reflected-signal amplitudes according to a criterion involving minimization of the probability of the signal being in the nonlinear section of the amplitude curve of the receiver. The required value and position of the dynamic range relative to the mean level of reflected-signal power fluctuations are determined.
