Synthesis of optimal weight distribution in adaptive antenna arrays
Abstract
The present study examines aspects of the synthesis of optimal weight distribution in adaptive antenna arrays on the basis of a known noise correlation matrix and signal vector in the array elements. It is shown that optimal weight processing can be achieved by the formation of a series of parallel reception channels with independent characteristics and the addition of the outputs of these channels with real optimal weight coefficients. Results are extended to the case when the correlation matrix of the signal and noise mixture is known.
