Scattering of an H-polarized wave by a screen with narrow slots
Abstract
The diffraction of electromagnetic waves by a metallic screen of finite thickness with periodic perforation in the form of a group of rectilinear waveguiding channels is analyzed in an approximation which assumes one wave in the slot. Systems of linear algebraic equations with respect to the amplitudes of the diffracted-field harmonics are derived which are suitable for numerical calculations. The convergence of the method for the reduction of these systems is investigated, and the electrodynamic properties of the screen are analyzed.
