Signal detection in a clutter environment in a bistatic system
Abstract
A method for calculating the signal/clutter ratio in a bistatic system is proposed which is based not on the calculation of the ambiguity function but on the analysis of the coherent properties of the noise field on the receiving aperture. The results can be used to find optimal configurations of the antenna system and temporal accumulation intervals, as well as to determine losses in the SNR of nonoptimal systems as compared with optimal ones.
