Simulation analysis of the influence of amplitude distortion due to multipath transmission of the quality of digital Hertzian beams
Abstract
A method for calculating the time of breaks in a digital Hertzian link during selective fading is presented. The method is based on a three beam propagation model. Analysis shows that Rummler's propagation model accounts satisfactorily for selective fading phenomena. Break times are much higher than those given by the CCIR model. Beyond a certain point, the quality of the link can not be improved by increasing output power. At constant digital output, 4 PSK modulation is recommended.
