Interaction of electromagnetic solitons in a nonlinear ferromagnet
Abstract
Some new soliton solutions of the dynamic equations for magnetization are analyzed. A distinguishing feature of these new solitary waves is their high propagation velocity, which is comparable to the speed of light. An electromagnetic wave propagating along the x-axis in an isotropic ferromagnet which is magnetized in its ground state along the y-axis is considered. The interaction of the electromagnetic solitons in a ferromagnet is analyzed for the case when the solitons are propagating in a common direction over a given range of velocities.
