Interaction of electromagnetic solitons in a nonlinear ferromagnet
Abstract
Some new soliton solutions of the dynamic equations for magnetization are analyzed. A distinguishing feature of these new solitary waves is their high propagation velocity, which is comparable to the speed of light. An electromagnetic wave propagating along the xaxis in an isotropic ferromagnet which is magnetized in its ground state along the yaxis is considered. The interaction of the electromagnetic solitons in a ferromagnet is analyzed for the case when the solitons are propagating in a common direction over a given range of velocities.
