Digital data distribution systems
Abstract
The principle governing the design of digital data distribution systems for switching digital communication channels are discussed. The architecture of microprocessor-based switching networks is examined, with particular attention given to the use of distributed multiprocessor control systems employing state-of-the-art all-purpose microprocessors. The discussion also covers the structural synthesis of digital switching networks, methods for evaluating the throughput of the networks, and methods for calculating losses in switching systems.
