ESR study of effects of pressure treatment, temperature and annealing on the structure of the impurity Cr 3+ centers in chalcogenide glasses
Abstract
The effects of pressure treatment up to 77 kbar of temperature and of annealing on the structure of the impurity Cr 3+ centres in glasses As 2Se 3(I), 5Cu 95As 2Se 3 (II) and TlAsS 2 (III) was studied by the EPR method. The high pressure treatment of (I) and (II) leads to considerable changes of the EPR parameters and their temperature dependences due to the increase of the zero field splittings of the Cr 3+ energy levels, connected with non-reversible local structure changes in glasses.
