Convective flow through internally finned rectangular fins
Abstract
The momentum and heat transfer has been investigated for a laminar flow through rectangular ducts with internal fins parallel to the walls. An analytical solution is obtained which reduces to a pair of Fredholm's integral equations. The numerical results are obtained for pressure drop parameter and Nusselt number for the special cases of (1) a square duct with unequal fins and (2) a rectangular duct having same ratio of fins and the parallel wall.
