Impedance of a flat probe in a nonisothermal locally collisional plasma
Abstract
Determination of the parameters of a high-pressure plasma dominated by volume recombination is considered by modulating the probe potential. The impedance is calculated for a flat probe on the ion branch of the characteristic for frequencies comparable to the inverse recombination time. Equations are derived for determining the electron temperature and density, the recombination coefficient, and the ion mobility from the amplitude and phase characteristics of the probe current.
