Rechnergesteuerter Rauschoptimierungsmeßplatz für das mm-Wellengebiet
Abstract
Rothe and Dahlke (1956) have shown that the noise characteristics of a linear four-terminal network can be completely described by four noise parameters. The noise characteristics can be theoretically computed on the basis of the physical properties of the semiconductor components. However, the values of the optimal generator impedances are changed in connection with the operations involved in connection with the incorporation of the components in the circuit. It is, therefore, necessary to conduct the measurements when the semiconductor elements have been mounted in the circuit, and to use the measured values as the basis for a performance and noise optimization. The discussed method for the optimization of noise conditions makes it possible to optimize four-terminal networks with arbitrary power amplification for frequencies up to 60 GHz with respect to noise and performance characteristics.
