Exact solutions of a free-boundary problem for the Stokes system
Abstract
Consideration is given to a free-boundary problem for the Stokes system in the two-dimensional formulation. This problem describes the slow flow of a viscous capillary fluid in an open vessel induced by the variability of the surface-tension coefficient. The problem is related to the problem of thermocapillary convection in weightlessness. A method for obtaining exact solutions to the free-boundary problem is developed.
