Clutter cancellation in search radars by spectral AR techniques
Abstract
An attempt is made to obtain a search radar adaptive filter for clutter cancellation in regions of stationary clutter, using an autoregressive model whose parameters are estimated either by direct processing or indirect processing via the data correlation function. The filter implementation proposed is based on generalized Wiener theory and on recently developed spectral analysis algorithms. Attention is given to the problem of the filter's optimum order, and detailed consideration is given to the cases of one and two simultaneous clutters.
