An overview of low-loss snubber technology for transistor converters
Abstract
A study of the state-of-the-art for low-loss snubber technology has been completed, and the results are summarized. The review begins with the purpose and philosophy in the use of snubbers, and ambiguities of their benefits are discussed. Finally, a system of classification for snubbers is proposed as a means of defining snubber operation more exactly.
