An adaptive controller for the Shuttle-Derived Vehicle
Abstract
The adverse launch conditions, the varying mass and aerodynamic coefficients and the flexible body characteristics during the flight of a Shuttle Derived Vehicle require adjustments to the control actuators for a successful predetermined mission. To provide compensation for these variations during the flight an adaptive controller is proposed. Two distinct configurations are suggested to compensate for all the causes requiring adaptation.
